April 6, 2016 - Our Affordable Dentures & Implants® team came together this past weekend in Kill Devil Hills, NC in support of The North Carolina Missions of Mercy (NCMOM), an outreach program of the North Carolina Dental Society, sponsored by the North Carolina Dental Health Fund. Their mission is “To provide free dental services to those in financial need with few or no other options.”
The goals of the program are to provide free dental care to as many underserved persons within North Carolina as possible and involve as much of the dental community of the state in the treatment of the underserved. Our attendance helped the mission serve around 600 patients which included cleanings, fillings, extractions, oral surgery and dentures. On the lab side, 32 partial dentures were delivered, as well as the completion of numerous denture repairs.
Stuart Raney, Denture Technician Recruiter at Affordable Dentures & Implants® said, "It was an amazing event to witness seeing so many people smiling, as well as a lot of tears of joy from these patients who weathered some heavy rain storms to be able to see a dentist and have services provided to them."
A big thank you to our wonderful Affordable Dentures & Implants® team who helped to make this event a success!
